We are the Goffs and we LOVE traveling--the sights, the food, the thrill, pretty much everything about it --even the planning isn't so bad. For our one year anniversary, we were trying to figure out what we wanted to do, and since I guess Disney World can't be our go to trip EVERY time (side eye)...we decided to venture out West. We flew into Reno, Nevada where we rented a car and drove to our first destination--Lake Tahoe. After a few days in Tahoe, we drove 5 hours to Yosemite because when you are that close how can you not? We wanted to share our adventures so that maybe you can see a little bit of our hearts and feel like you travel with us. Enjoy the trip! *most photos taken by DSLR, some by iPhone. |

Heavenly Ski Lodge
Story time: My (Ashliegh's) first time to EVER ski. One word: travesty. These mountains were STEEP, guys. I kid you not, when I got off the ski lift, I was like "nope, there's no way." I gave it a try anyway, and should have trusted my gut because I fell down the entire mountain. Well, I fell down half and then took my skis off and walked down the second half--after many failed attempts to try again and some frustrated tears I decided it wasn't worth trying a millionth time. I'll just stick to hot chocolate fireside in a cozy cabin.

Fallen Leaf Lake
Story Time: Cody really wanted to see Fallen Leaf Lake, but the road was gated and chained off because of snow and ice. Well--we happen to be at the gate when a maintenance man was leaving and talked our way into being let in. We got to see some pretty land, but it was deserted and sure enough, the roads got pretty bad but we had a lot of great laughs during this excursion.
